Upgrade Sequencing
For many years Buschur Racing has been known as the author of the Power Stages approach to modifying a DSM. We have formulated a multi-step approach to increasing the performance of your Talon, Eclipse, Laser or Galant. These steps document the order in which we recommend adding performance parts - maximizing the performance gain, while minimizing the number of parts you "outgrow" as you continue to enhance your cars performance.
The Mitsubishi 4G63 engine used in all turbocharged Talon, Eclipse, Laser, and Galant models has proven to be a nearly-bulletproof engine, and can handle tremendous levels of boost, and can be made to generate more than twice the factory horsepower without any modifications to the stock bottom-end or head! With only bolt-on hardware, your car can prove to be one of the fastest street-legal cars in town - capable of out-performing cars with engines of more than 4 times the displacement while still maintaining the drivability and gas mileage that you bought the car for! If you want to take your car to the ultimate level, it can be made to produce more than 600 hp to the GROUND, and can run the 1/4 mile in under 10 seconds at nearly 150 mph!
We've been perfecting our Power Stage "formula" since 1992, and are confident that it will work for you just as it has for hundreds of others! None of our modifications are "hack jobs", and if performed properly, will not destroy your engine.
Before modifying your car above stock horsepower levels, always ensure that your car is in perfect operating condition, and that you have sufficient time to do the job "right". If you don't feel confident tackling an upgrade, and can bring your car to our shop in Wakeman, Ohio, we can perform ANY modification (including dyno tuning) for you at reasonable rates.
